Ignite Award

The Ignite award is given each year to recognize an inquiry-based learning experience that encourages collaboration between libraries, educators, and learners meeting the goals of the National School Library Standards. All Ignite Projects must promote and develop civic engagement that addresses a need in your community or beyond. Looking for resources or inspiration? Scroll to the bottom of this page for more!

Project Submission Guidelines
Ignite Application

Deadline: July 31  Extended to August 31, 2024

How to apply: Download a copy of the application, and send the completed application, reflections, and evidence to [email protected].

Application Must Include:

  • Overview of the Ignite Project
  • Student evidence
  • Works Cited
  • Librarian reflection

Winner will receive:

  • Free annual conference registration
  • $300 to a non-profit organization of your choice
  • $300 for your library program
