The Virginia Association of School Librarians (VAASL) is a professional organization supporting and advocating for school librarians across Virginia. The mission of VAASL is to be the recognized voice for excellence in Virginia's school libraries, promoting lifelong learning and academic success of all students. For the last 50 years, VAASL has provided leadership, professional development, and networking opportunities to strengthen library programs and empower librarians. Today, we are 1400 members strong across 7 regions throughout Virginia.  VAASL is a chapter of the American Association of School Librarians (AASL), a division of the American Library Association (ALA).
